INTERTWINED IS AN INTIMATE ART SPACE AIMING TO REINVENT THE EXPERIENCE OF THE GALLERY.

INTERTWINED: AN ART GALLERY is a collaboration between Fellows Collective and Ally Wei for Ally’s thesis project as a senior in Media Arts and Practice at the School of Cinematic Arts. It serves as an opportunity to reinvent the gallery space from one that is pretentious to one that is completely welcoming, intimate, and loving.

The 4 main projects were created intentionally for this gallery under a theme of “What Makes You, YOU?” - essentially asking artists to create pieces that encapsulated their identities and values to then share with an audience in a vulnerable way. With a priority of connecting the audiences to the artist, there were several interactive exhibits and artists were available at the show to open any discussions.

With over 240+ attendees, the night was full of laughter, tears, and vulnerability.

Wire, Thread, and Wood

This piece deals with the social dichotomy of what is deemed valuable and what we truly value.

The installation is a replica of a miniature bedroom to symbolize the intimate spaces in our minds that these thoughts take up.
